Ann Spence
The daughter of a math nerd and an opera siger, Ann Spence grew up in New York, Chicago and Cambridge, MA. She studied Latin for eight years, made art in Rome and dug ruins in Greece and Jordan. She almost dug in Ustica, Italy (a tiny island north of Sicily) but the mafia wasn't giving permits that year. She developed a renewed appetite for young adult fiction while attending Law School (who wouldn’t?). She writes and lives in New York City with her husband, her three children, and a huge dog.
