Yaar Ayuel

Yaar Ayuel is one of the few Sudanese “Lost Girls” relocated to the United States. She has a beautiful personal story including not only her own struggle to escape Sudan, but also a more recent quest to bring over two Sudanese half-sisters whom she never knew she had. Her tale of strife and survival, both in Sudan and here in the United States, brings light to the tragedy in Sudan and paints a portrait of a refugee’s life in America.
