Martha Curtis

Martha Curtis has been profiled by CBS’ “60 Minutes” and NBC’s “Today Show” in the U.S. and has also appeared on television in Brazil, Lebanon, Canada, and Russia. She battled epilepsy both on and off stage for many years until a team of doctors at The Cleveland Clinic removed sections of her right brain to stop the neurological storms.

Ms. Curtis now performs throughout the U.S. and abroad to audiences of all ages. She  appears on recital series, lecture series, with orchestras, and as a guest lecturer while on university campuses. Because she knows her own medical case well and can perform in both words and music, she brings to the stage unique insight from the inner world of the human being.

"The story of Martha Curtis’ indomitable courage and achievement is inspiring and uplifting, a testament to the untapped possibilities of the human mind and will," says Charles Castleman, a violinist at the Eastman School of Music. "The example of her strnght is not super human but remarkably human."
